SELECTING HOUSING @ WFU

  • Accepted Before June 1

Students transferring to Wake Forest University who have been accepted and enrolled before June 1 each year will have the opportunity to enter the second round of housing selection, which takes place over the summer each year.

Students in the second round of housing selection can select from any open bed across campus.

    • During selection, you’ll be able to see who else is currently residing in any space with an open bed before selecting.
    • You are welcome to look for a roommate ahead of selection, but should not plan to create a roommate group larger than two.
  • Accepted After June 1

Students transferring to Wake Forest University who have been accepted and enrolled after June 1 each year will be assigned housing by our office for the coming year.

Depending on availability, you will be placed in either a single or double room with a potential roommate.

  • Spring Only

If you are accepted and plan to transfer to Wake Forest University mid-year, please reach out to our office directly to discuss your housing assignment for the semester.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT @ WFU

Wake Forest University has a six-semester residency requirement.

For most, this means having the option to choose off-campus housing for their senior year. As a transfer, you’ll receive a housing credit for each fall or spring semester completed at full-time status at another institution. Residence Life and Housing will work with the Office of the University Registrar on these evaluations.

Email housing@wfu.edu to discuss submitting your proof of residency.

MEAL PLANS

All residential students are required to sign-up for a meal plan, with the minimum determined by your housing location.

Whether you need a full-course meal or just between-class snack, it’s covered with your meal plan! You’ll select your meal plan along with your housing (or after being assigned) in the Housing Portal.

For specific details on all meal plan choices, including the specific meal plans and prices, please visit Deacon Dining’s website.
