INTERIM HOUSING

Collins Residence Hall

Interim Housing is available for students who meet certain criteria to stay on campus beyond our first closing date (including those transitioning to summer school housing, athletes in active competition, those officially involved with commencement, or those with a sibling graduating).

Please note that graduating seniors (Pending Completion Workday Status) do NOT need to request Interim housing.

Students living on South Campus will remain in their spring assignment on May 10th and check into interim housing on May 11 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Students must fully make their transition to their interim space by 2 p.m. on May 11.

Other students  will remain in their spring assignment until their approved departure date. If staying beyond May 17, you will stay in your academic year housing on the night of May 17 and check into interim housing on May 18 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Students must fully transition to their interim space by 9 a.m. on May 19.

Requests are due by May 4, 2026 at 9 a.m. via the Housing Portal.

  • There is a charge ($15 per night) for students staying in Interim Housing for purposes other than commencement.
  • You are not guaranteed Interim Housing until your request has been approved.
  • Interim Housing starts Monday, May 11 and closes on Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m. However, students staying for Summer School Session 1 or the Full Summer School term will be required to move to on Tuesday, May 26 to their summer school housing location.

Charges

Residence Life and Housing will forward billable damage information to Financial and Accounting Services within 12 working days after commencement.

If you feel that you have been issued a bill incorrectly, and you did not participate in the Express Check-Out process, you must appeal within 30 days of receiving the email notification of the charge. We ask that you follow this link to submit your appeal.
