The summer is flying, and we’re just a little over a month away from the start of the Fall semester! This month, we’re highlighting important reminders as you solidify your plans to return to campus next month and essential information for our incoming first-year students (‘28) about what to expect as housing assignments are released later this month.
First-year students will receive their housing assignments by July 31. Students will be notified via their @wfu.edu email address and will be able to log into their housing portal to see their room assignment, their roommate (if applicable), and a suggested move-in timeframe for August 21. Students will also receive a Roomie link to access a 3-D interactive model of their room layout to help plan and shop for their space, as well as other resources and tips to prepare for move-in day!
As a reminder, the 24-25 Move-In schedule (full opening/closing dates can be found HERE) is as follows:
- First-year and transfer students can move in on Wednesday, August 21, from 8 AM – 1 PM EST (with move-in help through 12 PM).
- Continuing students – meaning sophomores, juniors, and seniors – can move in during the following timeframes:
- Thursday, August 22 – Check-in will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday, August 23 – Check-in will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, August 24 – Check-in will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Students participating in pre-orientation programs will arrive on August 16 or August 17 from 9 AM- 4 PM.
- Approved students will receive instructions regarding move-in dates (which will vary by program), directly from our office.
Students who need to arrive after their check-in window will complete a late arrival form, which will be included in our final details in the coming weeks! We’ll send the final information regarding check-in and our opening week to their wfu.edu email address, so ensure they check regularly in the coming weeks!
If your student is living on-campus for Summer Session II, they will soon be receiving information regarding move-out and transition to their fall assignment.
- As a reminder, students moving off-campus will check out of their summer housing assignment on Sunday, August 11 by 2 PM EST.
- Students living on campus for Fall 2024 will transition to their 24-25 housing assignment on Monday, August 12 by 2 PM EST.
