We hope you’re enjoying summer break and staying cool! This month, we have reminders for families whose students are participating in the second round of housing selection and reminders for the return to campus in August (or July, for Summer Session II).

For those students who chose not to and/or were unable to select a bed during our initial housing selection process, the second round of selection will occur on Wednesday, July 13. As a reminder (from go.wfu.edu/housingselection):

“All students who are required to live in campus housing, but do not select during the first round of housing selection, are automatically placed on the list to select during the second round… During the second round of selection, students can plan to select a single bed or to look for open doubles in a roommate group of two people.”

If your student has not yet selected housing for the coming year, make sure they have thought about any potential roommates and are checking their email for selection times and final reminders ahead of this process.

Students participating in Summer Session II and living on campus  will move into their summer housing assignment on Tuesday, July 5 from 12 pm to 5 pm. If your student is living in campus housing for both summer sessions, they will receive information regarding a housing transition between sessions for the weekend of Friday, July 1.

As we look ahead to August, move-in dates for undergraduate students are as follows:

  • Wednesday, August 17: New Student Move-In (CLASS 0f 2026)
  • Friday, August 19 through Sunday, August 21: Continuing Student (Class of ‘25, ‘24, ‘23) Move-In

For the Class of 2026, housing assignments will be made available towards the end of next month. Please remind your student to keep an eye on their ‘@wfu.edu’ email address as this information, as well as many other important emails, will begin to arrive ahead of their first move to campus.

We hope you continue to have a restful and restorative break. As always, we are available for questions at housing@wfu.edu or 336.758.5185 during the week.
