We are looking forward to welcoming you and your Deac to campus this month!
As our community staff complete their training, and as we look towards move-in next week, it’s really beginning to look and feel like fall here in our office and around campus.
As a reminder, below you’ll find a breakdown of our move-in schedule. As you plan for move-in, please note that University policy now requires masks indoors for all visitors (parents, family, friends) and encourages students to mask indoors during the move-in time period due to the presence of individuals with unknown vaccination status in our communities [Read August 12 message regarding masking here].
|August 18 and 19||New Student Move-In
|August 20||Sophomore Move-In
|August 21 and 22||Continuing Student Move-In
Whatever year your student may be, be sure you’re checking in at the LJVM first before heading to their housing for the fall semester. As always, we recommend considering the following while packing and preparing for a move-in to a residence hall:
- Run through our list of what to bring (and not to bring).
- Label belongings with your student’s name, residence hall and room number.
- Remind your student to have a photo ID (license or passport) and their Check-In barcode emails handy on Move-In day.
As we move past move-in, a reminder that our opening and closing dates for the academic year are available for your planning purposes.
We continue to look forward to welcoming students home under much more familiar conditions this fall. As always, we are available at 336.758.5185 and email@example.com for any questions or concerns you may have.
