Residence Life and Housing Posting Policy

In an effort to effectively convey information of importance to the University community, and at the same time to keep the campus free from litter, the following guidelines have been established for the posting of notices and printed materials in and on the residence halls: All public notices or publicity material posted must be sponsored by a recognized student organization, and University department and be submitted for approval by the dean of residence life and housing, or designate, at least 24 business hours in advance. Students Save Energy & Water for Campus Conservation Nationals

Out of a field of nearly 100 colleges and universities, Wake Forest students placed in the top ten in energy savings and top five in fresh water savings during the 2014 Campus Conservation Nationals competition.

RSA Practices Pro Humanitate by Giving Back to the Community

   The Resident Student Association (RSA) Executive Board members presented a check to Mr. Clyde Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank from their  Zumbathon 2012 event held on October 24, 2012 .  RSA was able to donate $250 and 25 canned goods to the organization.  According to Mr. Fitzgerald, the $250 donated will be able to provide roughly 1600 nutritious meals to the community.  They estimate that each dollar provides roughly 7 meals.  Executive Board members are Xizi Liao, Trey Kern, Tyler Gaetano, Ryan Gutschick, Chelsea Kesty, and Jay Pearson.

“Rake” Forest – Pro Humanitate in Action

Approximately 120 Wake Forest students used their Saturday morning  on November 12 to put Pro Humanitate  in action.  When they could have been getting a much deserved morning to sleep in, students participated in the second annual “Rake” Forest.  “Rake” Forest is a program where students volunteer to rake and clean the yards of neighborhoods surrounding  the Wake Forest campus.  This year’s neighborhoods included Faculty Drive, Harmon, Rosedale Circle, Friendship Circle, Waycross and Macon Drive.

South Hall receives LEED Gold certification

South Hall receives LEED Gold certification

South Hall, completed in August 2010, has been awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.
